Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACL)

When advanced cardiac emergencies occur, healthcare providers must deliver rapid, evidence‑based interventions. The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course builds on BLS skills to teach the recognition and management of cardiac arrest, arrhythmias, stroke and acute coronary syndromes.

Course Overview

Our program follows American Heart Association guidelines and is intended for physicians, nurses, paramedics and other professionals who direct or participate in resuscitation efforts.

Who Should Attend

ACLS certification is required or recommended for:

  • Paramedics, nurses and physicians working in emergency departments, intensive care units, operating rooms and pre‑hospital settings
  • Respiratory therapists, nurse practitioners and physician assistants
  • Medical and nursing students entering clinical rotations
  • Dentists and dental anesthesiologists

Participants must have a current BLS Provider certification and be able to perform high‑quality CPR.

What You'll Learn

During this instructor‑led course, you will:

  • Identify and treat cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies using the latest algorithms.
  • Recognize and manage respiratory arrest, bradyarrhythmias and tachyarrhythmias.
  • Discuss acute coronary syndrome and stroke recognition and early management.
  • Demonstrate high‑performance team dynamics and effective communication.
  • Practice mega code simulations, including post‑resuscitation care and quality improvement.

Course Format & Length

  • Traditional classroom: A 4 hour refresher or 8 hour initial course that includes lectures, hands‑on learning stations and scenario testing.

Participants receive the AHA ACLS Provider Manual and access to practice scenarios. Certification cards are issued the same day upon successful completion. Continuing education credits may be available.

Why Choose CPR Plus LLC

At CPR Plus LLC, advanced cardiac life support training is led by an instructor with real emergency and critical-care experience. You’ll learn from real-world examples that make complex algorithms easier to understand and apply under pressure. Small class sizes ensure every participant gets hands-on practice with high-quality manikins and ECG simulators. Same-day certification means you leave fully prepared and credentialed.
