Children aren’t simply small adults; their medical needs and responses to injury are unique. That’s why childcare providers, teachers and parents require specialized training. Our Pediatric First Aid & CPR course combines the Heartsaver Pediatric curriculum with pediatric CPR and AED skills.
The course is designed to meet OSHA training requirements when paired with site‑specific instruction. It teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from exposure to blood or blood‑containing materials. Students also learn how exposures occur and how to respond if an incident happens.
Anyone with a reasonable chance of encountering bloodborne pathogens should take this training.
The course uses the PACT acronym—Protect, Act, Clean, Tell—to help students remember the correct response to bloodborne exposures.
The Bloodborne Pathogens course is taught in person as a one-hour classroom session led by an experienced instructor. Training follows the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines and is designed for anyone with potential exposure to blood or bodily fluids in the workplace.
Participants receive an official AHA Bloodborne Pathogens certificate (not a certification card) upon completion. Renewal may be required annually, depending on employer or industry policies.
At CPR Plus LLC, training goes beyond the basics. Each class is taught by an instructor with real-world emergency experience, making safety concepts easy to understand and apply on the job. Small class sizes and on-site options make certification simple and convenient.
